Oldest Asian American service organization in the country celebrates 100 years in San Francisco

On November 2, 2023, Square and Circle Club partnered with On Lok in the first of more-to-come Senior Photo Project shoots. Sponsored by AARP, photographer Frank Jang took portraits of On Lok seniors with assistance from two volunteers from the Chinatown Photographic Society. On June 3, 2023, Square and Circle Club celebrated its 99th birthday. It was the first time Club members, family, and friends gathered in-person since the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic shutdown. It was an informal event with fun skits and games. The Club looks forward to its Centennial Celebration!

In June 2023, the San Francisco Unified Lions Club’s Charity Fund presented Square and Circle Club with a grant to partially help with the printing of the Centennial Cookbook that is expected to be released in August as part of the Club’s Centennial fundraising activities.
