Pillowcase Project
S&C’s Pillowcase Project ended with the delivery of thirty-three pillowcases to East Bay Heritage Quilts (EBHQ). Club members and family members sewed these items in partnership with EBHQ, who provided the required fabric and directions to the sewists. The pillowcases will be given to Bay Area foster youth to hold their belongings, as these children often move from home to home.
Greeting Card Project
S&C’s Greeting Card Project concluded in June with the mailing of ninety greeting cards to Braid Mission based in Vallejo. This nonprofit organization supports Bay Area foster youth through a robust mentoring program and uses encouragement cards to provide often-needed messages of hope. The greeting cards were handcrafted by Square and Circle Club members.
