Square and Circle Club Supported Four Charitable Organizations for the 2022 Holiday Season

The Chinatown YMCA has addressed local needs for over one hundred years. Among its
many programs, the “Y” sponsors a Holiday Gift Program for seniors and families who
live in Chinatown Single Room Occupancy (SRO) units. S&C’s donation helped fund this
program to buy necessities for Chinatown seniors.
The staff and faculty of Francisco Middle School, located in San Francisco North Beach,
established the Francisco Relief Fund to support their homeless students. Every year,
essential items such as clothes and shoes are purchased and presented to the students
right before Christmas break. S&C donated to the Relief Fund in support of this worthy
cause.
Kokoro Assisted Living is a non-profit senior living community in San Francisco
Japantown. Its mission is to provide residential assisted living to seniors within a
Japanese cultural setting. S&C donated to fund tai-chi classes for their residents so they
can benefit from this activity year-round.

This non-profit organization is located in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco. It
supports homeless youth with a wide range of services designed to help them develop
into independent adults. The Club’s donation paid for gift cards presented to clients at
the annual Winterfest event.
