
Joyce D. Bantugan is a first-year graduate student at UCLA’s Department of Education’s Social Science and Comparative Education (SSCE) division. She also works part-time at a nonprofit education organization where she tutors reading comprehension and is the curriculum coordinator for youth programs. She enjoys going on mini adventures around the city, reading, creating art, watching movies, and cooking during her free time. Joyce returns in 2022-23 as a S&C student member and intern who has already volunteered four years for past APIA Heritage Month Celebrations of which Square and Circle is a fiscal agent and cosponsor.

Michelle Lee is a fourth-year student at San Francisco State University. She is majoring in Child and Adolescent Development, and minoring in Education. She was born and raised in San Francisco, California. This will be Michelle’s first time interning for S&C to help with the upcoming 2023 APIA Heritage Month Celebration.
