
Xin Wen is this year’s recipient for the Square and Circle Club/Elaine Jang Scholarship that is administered through TACT (The Association of Chinese Teachers). She graduated from the Galileo Academy of Science and Technology, where she was active in the associated student body and in basketball and badminton. In the community, she volunteered at Sutter Health and Adopt-an-Alleyway, and served as the publicity chair for CCDC (Chinatown Community Development Center). Xin has been accepted to San Francisco State University in Fall 2020 as a Biology major. She wants to pursue a career in health care.

Jennifer Li is this year’s S&C Club Graduate Studies Scholarship recipient. She graduated with a double major in Asian American Studies and Social Work from SF State University. She has been admitted to the Master’s of Social Work program at SF State University to begin in Fall 2020. Jennifer volunteered for three years as a crisis counselor for Alameda County and was most recently a social work intern at the Stepping Stone Adult Day Health Center. She plans to pursue a career in geriatric mental health and wants to study depression.
